Does any one know a diarrhea cure for cats?
If you’re asking about an average adult cat (maybe around 9 or 10 lbs.) then you can give 1/2 tablet of Immodium or over the counter anti-diarrheal. If it is for a smaller kitty then give 1/4. You can do this twice daily for about 2 days but after that I’d stop and monitor your kitty. If diarrhea continues then you really need the vet.
I would like to add that for a cat who has had normal stools suddenly develops mild diarrhea (they are known to eat unsavory things) then the Immodium is fine, but not for a cat who has had it long-term. In that case, your vet should be the one to diagnose and treat.

Yellow diarrhea and pain in gallbladder area?
Hi, tonight I have had terrible yellow diarrhea that burns a lot and I have a terrible pain in my gallbladder area. I still have my gallbladder and it was NOT removed. It hurts to push there and I am very nauseated. I have some pain in my back right shoulder blade area, but I can’t tell if it is from my surgery that I had a few years ago and have always had pain there, or if it’s gallbladder related. Can anyone help me out? I’ve taken two gravols and had a glass of milk and nothing is helping. I really need some sleep tonight. Thanks all.
Gall bladder pproblems hurt when you eat oily, fatty, greasy foods. So stop eating those things. Also, -never- drink milk when you have diarrhea, it makes it worse for various reasons. Eat bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast and that will plug things up. Its called the Brat diet and its used to control diarrhea in children. Stop pushing on your gall bladder if it hurts! Pushing on it won’t help anything, it never will. No milk, no fat. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nein.

Sorry for the details but with pain reliever is best for these menstrual pains, Aleve, Tylenol, or Advil? Any other pain medication that would work better? It would be best if they were none drowsy.
If you have pain from gas, take a medication like gas-x or beano that is designed to alleviate gas. Over the counter pain medications all work basically the same way. It’s a matter of personal preference as to what you choose. I prefer advil, but that’s just me. If it’s for menstrual pain, why don’t you get something like Midol that’s designed to alleviate menstrual pains?

My 3 chihuahuas were diagnosed as having Colitis. Things cleared up after 10 days on chicken and rice, immodium and metrodizanole. Put them back on dry food (Eagle Pack- Holistic) within 48 hours they all had diarrhea, again. Vet tested a stool sample- negative for worms & parasites. After a second round of antibiotics, bland diet, etc…it’s getting worse & immodium isn’t working! I sent a sample of the food to the company, still waiting. They only had 1/2 rawhide treat and all natural peanut butter since this started (and they didn’t eat any garbage, etc). Vet will test again on Monday. Anyone have any guesses/ suggestions.
If your dog’s have colitis, discontinue rawhide and peanut butter. The peanut butter is the likely cause of all of them getting sick. Get them off the Eagle Pack, back to the chicken and rice that they had been on for 10 days.
This syndrome will start when an owner starts changing the diet, offering treats. Then changing again when the dog either does not eat or gets sick. It can be fatal if you continue to dehydrate your puppies by constantly introducing something new to eat. Peanut butter is the absolutely worst thing to give them–too much oil.
Get some Pedialyte and a 3 cc syringe from your vet or a pharmacy. Most pharmacies will give a 1 cc or 3 cc syringe without a needle, but be sure to explain you have 3 sick chis that need fluids until they get to the vet.
At Petsmart get some Nutristate or Nutrical. See the box at the link below.
Give 2 cc of Pedialyte by syringe in the lower pouch of their mouth. As they lick, you slowly drip the liquid. Do this every 2 hours and remove their regular water and withold food.
At noon, give some of the Nutrical by following the directions on the tube. It is very goey. A very small amount–like roughly 1/4 tsp will probably be enough. On your finger from the tube, then into the mouth of each pup. This will provide the nutrition that they need.
No food for 24 hours, but Nutrical every 6 hours, and Pedialtype every 4 hours. The diahrea should stop within 48 hours, possibly sooner.
Meanwhile, the absence of worms in a stool check does not necessarily mean there are no parasites. The Metrodiazanole is a good product that will likely be good to get them on again today if you still have some.
Another trip to the vet tomorrow is in order, but he will likely get them back on metro. You should be able to offer them a little chicken and rice by tomorrow, but keep them going with Pedialyte and with the Nutrical or Nutristat today.
