Any suggestions for my chronic nausea?
It all started April 19th. While on a plane, I was struck with horrible nausea, and spent several hours on the floor of the Denver Airport bathroom. Since then I’ve been to the ER once, two different medical doctors, and a therapist, and still no one can figure out what is wrong with me. I have general queasiness about 90% of the time, and sometimes it becomes worse nausea. When the nausea is REALLY bad, I have diarrhea but that has only happened 3-5 times. I get hungry, eat something, and get queasy as a result. Queasiness is worse when I move. I’m not in any pain at all.
I have ruled out the following:
Bacteria
Virus
Parasite
PMS
Pregnancy
Bladder Infection
Kidney Infection
So..my actual questions…any suggestions on what this might be? I’m getting a little tired of the 3.5 months of nausea.
Second question…any suggestion on how to get rid of the nausea? Pepto doesn’t do much and I can only eat so much ginger….
Thanks!
It might be your vision. Get your eyes checked! It could be a form of vertigo or other eye focus problems.
Also, it could be your inner ear. See an ear/nose/throat doctor if your eyes check out okay. Inner ear controls balance and the problem could be there – ear pressure problems from the plane, broken ear drum, etc.
Peppermint always works for me when I’m nauseous. Chew a piece of gum, dab peppermint oil on your wrists or temples, or make peppermint tea.
