How To Detect Yeast Infection Symptoms – Important Information No Woman Should Ignore

If you have ever suffered from a yeast infection, nobody has to describe to you what a miserable experience that can be.  But do you know what to look for with an oncoming infection?  Learning how to detect yeast infection symptoms can not only help you avoid a potential yeast infection, but this knowledge can significantly help in avoiding them for the rest of your life.  So, what are the symptoms?

Let’s see what causes yeast infections in the first place.  Everyone has certain amounts of Candida Albicans in the body and they are essential for our good health.  Candida is a fungus.  It is typically found on the mouth, skin, lower bowel, and vagina.  The problem arises when some people have more present in their bodies than others.

When the internal environment of the body becomes unhealthy, the fungus can grow out of control and spread into unwelcome areas of the body.  The causes of yeast infection are varied, but the most common are use of birth control, poor diet, and the use of antibiotics.  Some women also find themselves prone to yeast infections during pregnancy.

Symptoms can occur anywhere in the body that provides an environment that is warm and moist.  These areas include the mouth, throat, groin, and skin folds.  Symptoms can vary in severity and duration.

A Candida infection of the mouth is called thrush, commonly known as “trench mouth”.  This often causes pain when eating and swallowing.  The infection can be identified by white patches on the inside of the mouth and tongue.  You may also notice redness underneath the tongue.  Digestive problems will arise when the infection invades the gastrointestinal tract.

On the skin, you’ll notice redness and itching.  You may also notice the skin is dry with red, curled up edges and it’s always painful.

In the vaginal area you’ll notice soreness, burning, and a discharge that resembles thick cottage cheese.

Other miscellaneous symptoms you may experience include joint and muscle pain, diarrhea, general fatigue, bladder infections, depression, and cravings.

Diagnosing your symptoms can be a frustrating process at first.  I’d strongly advise you to seek the consultation of a health professional if this is your first time experiencing any of these symptoms.  It does become an easier process after having experienced at least one yeast infection.  Understanding the symptoms of yeast infections will put you in a position to treat it effectively without the aid of professional help before the infection spreads and gets worse.

Diarrhea in pregnancy?

Is diarrhea ever a symptom of pregnancy? Early pregnancy? I mean, if you’re nauseated and upchucking every hour, why not have the runs? Does that ever happen?
Cool, thanks. It’s one thing none of the pregnancy books seem to mention. It’s all about the “morning sickness”. By the way…. why is it called “morning” sickness when it lasts all day?

i had morning sickness that last all day and all night so i don’t know why its called “morning sickness” women can have diarrhea or constipation during preg and it is norm..keep hydrated 8-10 glasses per day.
